Hi all, @Clare_Seek and I are getting questions from people who are keen to organise a repair at a festival (see this topic and this podcast), which is wonderful and good fun! :grin: We have created a toolkit which you can view here.

I thought it might be wise to indicate who is going where, or who contacted which festival - to avoid overlaps and crossed wires

I’ve just heard from Birchwood Repair Café who’ve been approached by Creamfields Music Festival to run a repair space there in August.

The Repair Cafes in Berkshire are working together to hold a Repair Cafe at Reading Festival in August. Under the umbrella of Berkshire Repair Cafes all donations going to a local charity Berkshire Youth.

@Frank can you add ‘BBC Radio 2 Festival in Stirling’ Remake Scotland are exploring the possibility of doing something there.

Any early reports from the festivals that have already happened?

We ran a Community Repair Corner at WOMAD last weekend. It was great, lots of positive conversations, ranging from people who never heard of Repair Cafés, to people who would sign up to volunteer (in Leominster, for example) to lots of RC organisers from across the country. :grin: We did around 175 repairs over the weekend (still digitising my notes!). I have put photos on The Repair Finder Instagram.

I’m just back from Boomtown Fair…think we did over 500 repairs this year, so an increase on last year. We had a good number of folk coming back having been to us last year, and lots of new faces. We’ll be crunching the numbers properly over the next few weeks…might be good to get fixes added to the table (I’ve added a column) and perhaps we could look to do a press release out at some point mid/late Sept with a summary of the growth this year? @Holly_Davies would you be up for helping with that too?

We are at Reading Festival next week a group of Repair Cafes under the umbrella of Berkshire Repair Cafes. Wednesday to Sunday
