I enjoy the ownership of a fixed item, regardless of what it is. I drive a 1995 Subaru because the previous owner thought there was a bigger problem than there was and was planning on junking it. About $100 to fix, and I got a mostly free car. The economic part of smaller electronics bugs me. I ended up buying my daughter a new tablet because the replacement screen cost more than a new one. I still have the old one because I don’t want to send it to a landfill and there isn’t an electronic recycling shop in the area.
