Which! Magazine research reveals laptop repair rip-offs in the UK

For international readers, Which! Magazine is like a British “Consumer Reports”. Not much here is a surprise - except that there is a worse outfit than “Knowhow” or PC World’s rebranded repair centre. (PC World is our largest “big box” store)

What’s missing from this post is basic advice about how to identify a quality indie repairer.

It’s good to see that big companies are being called out and held responsible for their actions. The more this happens, the more likely independent shops will open, which leads to better quality all around. Not that big shops can’t have good quality, but more competition force them to care more about quality of service.
