Website help needed please

,

I feel I ought to be able to sort these out by myself but I seem to be going in circles.
I’ve managed to put Fitzrovia Community Centre’s Repair Café’s next event as Saturday 26 April but it is Sunday 27 – how do I change it?
How do I get the event to show up in the Restart Party list?
Aaaand… don’t let the public know but I have just heard that none of our electricals team can make it. As it is early days for the public to become aware of us, we really do not want to skip a 4th Sunday. What is the best way for me to find if there are any Restarters that could fill in for this one event?

Hi Penn,

I’ve managed to put Fitzrovia Community Centre’s Repair Café’s next event as Saturday 26 April but it is Sunday 27 – how do I change it?

You can edit your event by viewing your event, and then going to the ‘Event Actions’ menu:

You’ll then be able to change the date. As I was already looking the page, I’ve changed it to the 27th for you

How do I get the event to show up in the Restart Party list?

When your group is approved (which is was yesterday), your events will shows up automatically on the therestartproject.org. So your event is there now.

As you’re based in London, if you post in the London category here on Talk (https://talk.restarters.net/c/london/21), giving details of the event and how many volunteers you are looking for and with what type of skills, you will reach a good number of London-based volunteers who hopefully may be able to help out.

Fantastic! Thank you.

BTW When I used Edit Event I got a response that my edit changes could not be saved - strange eh?

Yes, that’s strange that your changes could not be saved - do let me know if that continues to happen, and I can investigate further.

I’ve checked and now it is happy to save!

Some voulounteers may have sent you an email weeks before the 27th Aptil to your advertised address of: info@fitzroviacommunitycentre.org? Being one of them, I never got a reply.

Some Café’s are overflowing with fixers to the point where in the future they may limit their attendance

I am so sorry Karl that the Community Centre did not forward your message to me! I suspected this might be happening – but unfortunately I am not a staff member so cannot see emails. Would you be willing to send a copy of your email to me at pennsmithuk@hotmail.com so I can then use it to investigate the centre’s processes?
You would have been very welcome - I was so relieved that Dave and Sami came and filled in for our regulars. At the moment we only have a small room to use but if things grow I am glad to hear that there could be fixers out there looking for gigs.
Thank you!
