The Wheel / WeRpollards - Pollards Hill First Repair Cafe on 26th Oct! Electric and Clothes Fixers Needed!

Hi all,

I’m the project manager of WeRpollards - a recycling and waste initiative on the Pollard’s Hill Estate in Mitcham - we’re having our first repair cafe at the new Wellbeing Studio on Sat 26th October from 1pm until 4pm - in collaboration with The Wheel and Sustainable Merton.

I’m looking for help, specifically i need:

  • An experienced electrical fixer (preferably able to PAT test)
  • Clothes fixer/s

We’re also open to taking on trainees. Also if you’d like to come along and get something fixed - you can sign up to the event here:

For any other enquiries my email is: james@sustainablemerton.org
Thanks!

Well done for setting it up and hope it goes well.

Hi Everyone!

Sadly both of our electricals repairers have just cancelled their attendance at our first repair event at Pollards Hill in East Mitcham. This is an urgent call out for anyone who is available to come along to be our lead electricals repairer and PAT tester this Saturday.

This is a small event as it’s our first in the location, with only 3 electricals items registered to be repaired, but we were wanting to show residents of the estate what the repair events are all about so we can build on them.

I do have some event budget to pay professional repairers for their time (£100 for 4.5 hours).

Please get in touch with me as soon as possible if you are able to make it. My email is thewheel@sustainablemerton.org

Thank you!

Franki

Thanks so much everyone, we now have enough electrical repairers for us to be able to run the event safely

What a wonderful network this is!
