Every year, working on behalf of the Open Repair Alliance, we collate and publish a huge set of open data on the repairs that take place at community repair events around the world. You can help support this initiative by uploading your repair data into Restarters.net ![]()
Last year’s dataset included over 200,000 records of repair attempts from over 1,000 repair groups in 31 countries around the world. This data is used for all kinds of things - we and others analyse it for insights and advocacy on repair and the right to repair, and there are many other interesting uses from downloaders of the open data.
If you enter your group’s repair data into Restarters.net, then it is already automatically included into the Open Repair Alliance dataset and supports right to repair activities around the world.
We will be starting work on this year’s release of data a few weeks away from now, towards the end of August. Excitingly, this year, the Open Repair Alliance data will also include information on the amount of non-EEE items seen at repair events, too.

The new dataset will include data for events up until the end of 31st July 2025. So, if you’ve got any repair data still to upload, log your data soon for it to be included in this year’s Open Repair Alliance dataset!
