I’ve joined today and would like to attend repair parties near us (Sunbury).
I’m finding the site a little tricky to navigate. Is it just a case of searching for a nearby group? Do you have to ‘book’ to attend a party or can you just turn up?

If you’re looking for your nearest group, the best way is to make sure you’ve set your location in your profile, which it looks like you’ve done. You should then be able to see the nearest repair groups to you here: Restarters
You can then follow any groups of interest to be notified when they announce events.
Every group is organised by local people and each one works a little differently. At the moment, some events do require booking to help manage numbers during the pandemic. For others, you can simply show up. Organisers tend to explain how their events work in the description of each event (such as this example in Chesterfield). But if in doubt, you can always message the organiser to learn more
