In Austria and the German state of Thuringia, people can now be partially reimbursed when repairing a product thanks to a repair bonus. While they differ in maximum price that can be reimbursed, which type of products are covered etc, it’s interesting to see the success these measures have!
Also interesting to note that in Austria, the scheme does not only supports commercial repairs, but also community repair initiatives: Repair Cafés can apply for up to 1,200 euros of funding per year.
