End of Windows 10 support to make 400 million devices obsolete?

I installed Linux Mint which runs quite comfortably on older laptops.

My favourite Linux is peppermint, which is also a derivative of Debian, and seems to be designed for a smaller footprint machine. I even run it on an ancient 2005 IBM X41 small form factor laptop.

I also like peppermint as it assumes, by default, that most functionality will be delivered via a browser. You can install all the usual things, but the modern way for word processing, email, calendar social media etc is via a browser page, and it adopts this network computer model. I just need a browser and a shell prompt (sometimes)

Not tried Peppermint. I’ll look into that.

Nice blog BTW…
