We had an early celebration of Repair Day at the Bowes & Bounds Repair Cafe yesterday. Our MP and counsellor came but didn’t bring anything to fix, so I taught them to darn socks!
They both stayed for about an hour and we had a great chat about what councils and central govt can do to support repair. It was a great way to bond, our MP is definitely up for supporting debates etc in parliament now, and the counsellor wants to convene a group of people to figure out what the council can do to support repair :star-struck:
If you haven’t already, please invite your MP along to your repair cafe - I can’t think of a better way to build relationships than to fix with people.
