AMA on the US' draconian copyright law

We’ve been tracking the DCMA, the US’ copyright law that is being used in very scary ways to stop people from tinkering, fixing and modifying their devices for quite a while.

Much of the focus on the reform to Europe’s copyright law has been on the restriction of sharing of certain material online, like memes, but I’m wondering whether the proposed changes might also have dangerous effects in the same direction?

Also, in the UK we need to track any initiatives on the horizon to modify UK law outside of the EU…
