In the Hudson Valley and Catskills Mountain region of New York State (USA) we now have 28 Repair Cafes–all organized by people/groups within each community or municipality. I started the first of these Repair Cafes (the 4th in the USA) in New Paltz, NY in May 2013. My role is volunteer coordinator communicator and cheerleader. We feel very connected to the repair movement worldwide. Instagram has been a useful platform–but I very much welcome this platform.
