Ian has around 25 years’ experience of managing projects and programmes in a variety of sectors (private and third), industries (sustainability, waste-to-energy, food processing, Fairtrade, slum redevelopment, finance, international development and defence), organisational sizes (small-medium and multi-national) and geographical contexts (UK, Asia, Latin America and Africa). Projects range from the small, simple and short-term to the large, complex and longer-term, running into the millions of pounds, involving multiple and diverse stakeholders and lasting for several years. Ian also has significant development experience, ranging from systems and processes, to projects and programmes, and even organisations. This also includes resource mobilisation, including funding, various pro bono support and volunteers. Ian has an educational background in engineering and management, including a First Class degree in Construction Management, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).
