Hi I’m Andrew. I’m from Malta but I lived in London for while. I work as an electrical/electronic engineer in industry where I design printed circuit boards and develop firmware for lead-acid battery monitoring.

I am very keen on repairing things and making them last that little bit longer and hence reducing landfill waste. I’m carrying out some manner of repair almost every evening and weekend. I have carried out repairs on robot vacuums, televisions, fans, pumps, toys, a pasta machine, a toaster, power supplies for LEDs.

I volunteered at two repair cafes here in Malta pre-Covid. I enjoyed the experiences though I did feel a bit overwhelmed as I’m just a skilled enthusiast, not a professional repairer.

It’s nice to connect with other repairers. I hope to be able to volunteer even at repair events in the UK and Europe once travel picks up again after Covid restrictions are eased. I thank the creators of this repair community for taking the time to create this platform.
