The UK has created a “Climate Assembly” of people from all walks of life (convened much like a jury) to figure out how we can transition to Net Zero as a country. The Assembly has input from experts, and these are clearly making a difference with Assembly members.
Two talks caught our attention - one by Mike Berners-Lee, brother of Tim. He explains embodied carbon, and its importance for certain kinds of products.
Then another by John Barrett (U Leeds) - he mentions the need for us to consume less. And makes a brief mention of repair. And our incessant mobile upgrades.
